What is geocaching?
and (optional)
Finding a geocache (or simply, a ‘cache’) isn’t quite as straightforward as you may think.
Some are easy, some are an incredible challenge.
Imagine if I told you I’d hidden a box of cereal in one of your kitchen cupboards…
You know what it is, you know how big it is, what it looks like and pretty well where to look.
Now imagine I tell you I’ve hidden a small box of matches somewhere ‘on’ a bus (inside, outside, underneath, could be disguised, camouflaged, stuffed deep in a crevice, taped under something, etc.).
This time you know very roughly how big it might be, but apart from that, nothing much else. It might even be in the engine compartment somewhere, and possibly with a red herring.
So it is with caches, some are quick & easy, others may require skill, experience and equipment.
The GeoWifi.uk geocache was put together by
part of the Pickerings! Geocaching squad.
